Overview		This is the final stage and a long day, it follows minor roads and farm tracks. There is no opportunity to purchase provisions until Aiserey which is about 10km from Citeaux. There is a Boulanger and a cafe there but be aware opening hours and days are not always reliable

 

 

 

 

Walk Description :

 

1 - From the monument on the D24 walk turn right past the restaurant and turn left Ruelle des Pâtis and then left on the D116d to Biere le Fort. At the T-junction in the village turn right on the D116f direction Genlis. Eventually cross over the railway line and continue out of the village of Biere le Fort to the junction with the D905.

 

2 - At the junction with the D905 turn left direction Dole (a main road take care) and then first right on the C5 direction Huchey. Cross over the junction and straight on to cross over a stream. At the crossroads turn left to eventually pass a lake on the left and finally meet a road. Turn right to Tart le Bas.

 

3 - In Tart le Bas turn left at the T-junction onto the D116 direction Tart Le Haut and then right onto Rue de la Ronsotte. At the junction in Tart Le Haut turn left onto the D116 direction Echigey and in the village continue on the D116 direction to Aisere.

 

4 - In Aisere bear right to pass a park on the left, cross the main road and turn left just before the church. Continue to pass the Mairie on the left side to reach a T-junction. Turn left and follow the road round to the right crossing over a mini roundabout to continue ahead. Just before the main road turn left along Rue de la Gare and at the end of the road turn right onto the track that runs parallel with the railway line. At the T-junction turn left onto the D116 and continue through Izeure to eventually reach a main road. Turn right and first left to reach Abbaye de Citeaux.
