Overview

This is a moderate and pleasant walk from Hawick over undulating terrain. Leaving the town behind the route passes over farmland, through woodland an old Drovers road and country lanes before passing through the Estate of the Haining to reach Selkirk.

The Haining is a Scottish country house that originally dates from the 15th century.
